DSPLink History and Roadmap

This article is intended to help provide some guidance for DSPLink users to help them understand previous and future releases of DSPLink, as well as indicate where/when significant features are introduced and what compatibility breaks occur.

In most cases, further details are available in the DSPLink release notes as well. The latest DSPLink releases can be downloaded here. Older releases are also here - free my.ti.com account required.)

There are some gaps in this page related to older DSPLink releases, which will be filled in later.

  • Verified support for OMAP-L138 device
  • Licensing and naming
    • The name of the porting kit tar is now dsplink_1_63.tar.gz. The porting kit is now available fully with BSD license.
    • The name of the Linux product tar is now dsplink_linux_1_63.tar.gz. The kernel-side is licensed with GPL v2, with user-side, DSP-side, samples and all other code under BSD license.
  • Defect fixes
    • SDOCM00057677: While Create and initialize the MSGQ object GEN_Strcpyn is corrupting the msgqQueue,Only if the name of MSGQ is 32 chars.
    • Linux-specific: SDOCM00059279: Scheduler problems associated with DSPLink Release

  • Added WinCE support for OMAP3530, DM6446, TNETV107
  • Added support for TNETV107 on Montavista Linux 5.0
